Kansas City-based non-profit organization the PKD Foundation has appointed Gary Godsey as president and CEO. The PKD Foundation provides funding for polycystic kidney disease (PKD) research and runs several programs catering to the PKD community.

Godsey was president and CEO of the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas, the largest non-governmental funder of health and human services in the U.S. from 2000 to 2011. He has also worked at United Way Capital Area in Austin, Texas, and the American Cancer Society. Till date, Godsey has helped raise more than $700 million in funds.
