French oil producer, Total, is seeking to acquire a stake in an oil block in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Bloomberg reports. The company is in talks with South Africa’s SacOil Holding and Divine Inspiration Group for the stake. The Courbevoie-based company will buy into Block 3, located along Congo’s border with Uganda. The government is in the process of allocating oil blocks across the country to various companies.
