Ampere Equity Fund has completed the acquisition of a 50% stake in the Carraig Gheal Wind Farm, located in Scotland. The Dutch renewable energy investor, run by Triodos Investment Management, bought the stake from GreenPower International.
Both the parties are currently negotiating senior debt financing for the project with two U.K. banks. The wind farm, which will be built in late 2012, will consist of 20 Siemens SWT-2.3 variable speed wind generators.
