Wijaya Baru Global has signed two deals to acquire 80,000 hectare of land in Indonesia for $80 million, The Star Online reports. According to the agreements, the company will pay $40million each in cash to Suffolk and Wealthgate. The company has the option of selling the land should it decide against venturing into plantations. The deal will provide an immediate and stable income stream for the company’s core business and will also allow the group to expand its business regionally.
