Damien Bombell, former trader at global financial services firm JPMorgan Chase & Co. (JPM), has floated a hedge fund to invest in metals, grains and energy, Bloomberg reports. With start-up funding from Bombell and his partners, the Strand Global Macro Fund began investing this year.

The fund is planning to begin trade with capital from outside clients in January, and is targeting a minimum $200 million under management. Bombell quit J.P Morgan in 2010 after the firm announced closure of its commodities proprietary trading desk in compliance with new U.S rules.
