Barclays Bank has launched two five-year U.S. treasury exchange-traded notes (ETNs). The iPath U.S. Treasury 5-year Bull Exchange Traded Note and the iPath U.S. Treasury 5-year Bear ETN have been issued on the NYSE Arca stock exchange.

The ETNs will track the performance of the Barclays Capital 5Y U.S. Treasury Futures Targeted Exposure Index. The funds are an extension of the firm’s current suite of ETNs, providing exposure to fixed income strategies, allowing investors to take a view on whether specific yields will increase or decrease. BlackRock Fund Distribution is the promoter of the notes to the intermediaries.
