The CME Group, the derivatives market place, is set to roll out cleared over-the-counter (OTC) gold in Europe by the end of this year, Reuters reports. The group is also seeking to boost the number of contracts it clears through both its U.S. clearinghouse and also through CME Europe.
In June, the group disclosed it was planning to expand its clearing service to OTC base metals products in the U.K. The London Metal Exchange said in May, it was mulling its own clearinghouse.
