Schroders is seeking to roll out new European equity funds later in 2011, Reuters reports. The fund manager may also appoint more managers as it is looking to boost its assets in the region. Within its European equity range, the firm already offers 12 European equity funds managed by six managers. The firm sees demand for ‘high alpha’ strategies following the success of its $1.35 billion ISF Asian Total Return Fund, which uses derivatives to offer a degree of capital preservation.
