BC Partners will acquire a 79% stake in Italian department store chain, Gruppo Coin, The Wall Street Journal reports. The U.K. private equity firm will pay €733 million to rival private equity fund, PAI Partners, for the acquisition.
The transaction values the Venice-based clothing store chain at €1.3 billion, including debt, adds Financial Times. BC Partners was advised by Bank of America and HSBC Holdings, while PAI Partners was advised by UBS and Mediobanca.
