Zurich-based long/short hedge fund manager, Varus Capital Management, has gained its first U.S. investor, HFM Week reports. The Varus Fund has secured allocations from a fund of hedge funds (FoHF) manager based in Greenwich, Connecticut.
The investment, which will form 5% of the fund’s total assets under management, has helped Varus in creating a new share class, Class F, for U.S. investors. Varus Capital’s hedge fund was set up by Stefan Heieck and Frank Siebrecht, who were formerly with Absolute Capital Management.
