Managed Portfolio Advisors (MPA) will deploy Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation’s (DTCC) model management exchange service. The new technology platform aims at standardizing and automating the model distribution process between investment managers, overlay portfolio managers and model program sponsors.
The service has been developed in collaboration with the Money Management Institute (MMI) to align with a shift in the managed accounts industry toward model-only portfolios. The portfolios merge multiple asset classes into a unified client account that sponsors customize for their clients for tax optimization and investment preferences. Morgan Stanley Smith Barney is also utilizing the service.
