According to data from the Financial Research Corp., mutual fund outflows more than doubled in August, Plan Adviser reports. On the other hand, exchange-traded funds saw net inflows of $1.4 billion.

Stock and bond funds witnessed net outflows of $32.8 billion from long-term funds in August. Mutual fund net outflows stood at $14.6 billion at July-end.
