Principal Funds has appointed Jeff Tyler as portfolio manager for its unit, Principal LifeTime Funds. Tyler, who will join the firm on March 11, 2011, will be responsible for the target-date fund series.

Most recently, Tyler was CIO of financial advisory firm, Exos Partners, adds Pensions & Investments. He has previously worked with American Century Investments. Michael Finnegan and Tim Dunbar will leave the Principal LifeTime portfolio management team on March 1, 2011.
