Publica has appointed Dieter Stohler as its new director, IPE reports. He will be active in his new role from Jan. 1, 2012 and replace Werner Hertzog, who left the Swiss public pension fund last month to join Aon Hewitt.

Stohler is joining the pension fund from Pensionskasse Basel-Stadt, where he was serving as CEO. Prior to this, he was associated with Basel-Landschaft, where he headed the department for foundations and occupational pensions.
