Mercer has appointed Phil Howard as a senior consultant in its governance and trustee services group, Professional Pensions reports. He will work with clients on operational risk and effectiveness and will also advise clients on how to prepare for auto-enrolment and employer duties. Most recently, Howard was with the National Employment Savings Trust as operational information manager. Before that, he was a governance consultant with Hewitt Associates.
