Faisal Ali has joined Baring Asset Management as an investment manager for its emerging markets debt team, Financial Times reports. He will work under Thanasis Petronikolos, Barings’ head of emerging markets debt.
Ali will be responsible for handling the group’s $163 million Baring Emerging Markets Debt Local Currency fund. Prior to this, he was at Observatory Capital as a manager in the team running the firm’s emerging market credit portfolio.
