Aberdeen Asset Management has appointed Andrew McCaffery as head of its institutional hedge funds. He will be a part of the senior management team for the entire hedge fund and long-only multi manager operation. In his new role, McCaffery will be reporting to CIO and head of alternative investment strategies, Anne Richards. McCaffery is joining the investment management group from BlueCrest, and has previously served as head of absolute return strategies at Aberdeen.
