Cisco Systems has completed its acquisition of privately-held digital media processing software maker, Inlet Technologies. As per the deal, the California-based company paid $95 million in cash and retention-based incentives for Inlet.
North Carolina-based Inlet provides adaptive bit rate digital media processing platforms, which is expected to boost Cisco’s Videoscape TV platform capabilities. With the close of the acquisition, Inlet employees will become a part of Cisco’s service provider video technology group.
