Credit Suisse’s Brazilian subsidiary is boosting its investment-banking team by 20%, Bloomberg reports. The Swiss financial group is seeking to appoint six executives to its investment- banking team of 30 people in 2011. The Zurich-based lender, which was a lead manager in five of this year’s six public offerings, expects that more local firms will hire them to help them to assist in the capital raising process. Jose Pereira heads Credit Suisse’s investment banking unit in Brazil.
