Banco Espirito Santo (BES) is seeking to sell a $3.55 billion portfolio of syndicated loans, Reuters reports. The Portuguese lender’s loan portfolio comprises of project finance loans, with some corporate loans.
The Lisbon-based bank’s loans portfolio consists of U.K.’s M6 toll motorway project, as well as the London City Airport and Peel Ports. BES, which has approached around 10 investment banks to sell the loan portfolio, has scheduled the auction to take place on February 8.
