The New York City comptroller’s office has appointed Barry Miller as head of private equity, Pensions & Investments reports. He will be supervising the $12 billion commitment to private equity by the city’s five public pension plans.Miller will be closely working with Elizabeth Caldas, director of private markets, who had also managed the private equity investments. Miller is joining from Nottingham Capital Management, where he was co-founder and managing partner.
