China’s Spring Airlines is seeking to raise nearly $1.2 billion in an initial public offering by the first quarter of 2012, China Daily reports. The airline has appointed UBS to help with the IPO.

Spring Airlines is seeking to grow its fleet to 60 aircraft from 24 over the next four years. The budget airline will be China’s fifth-listed carrier after the IPO.
