Glencore has terminated Mark Allen as head of its cotton trading team, Financial Times reports. Allen joined 18 months ago from Hong Kong–based trader Noble Group. The Swiss trading house’s cotton trading business was losing money in the first half of the year. The team is now under the direct charge of Peter Poort, an executive in Glencore’s agricultural unit.
