Michael Simpson has joined Baring Asset Management as head of Latin American equities, Financial Times reports. Based in London, he will replace Roberto Lampl and manage the £434.9 million Latin American fund.
Simpson will work under head of equities Tim Scholefield. Most recently, Simpson was with Wells Capital Management in San Francisco, where he managed the Latin American exposure of several global emerging markets portfolios.
