Religare Capital Markets (RCML) has appointed John Sturmey as head of global equity capital markets operation, FinanceAsia reports. Based in Hong Kong, he will be supported by a team of 10 bankers who will focus on attracting Indian and Southeast Asian companies mandates.
The position is new. Most recently, Sturmey was jointly in charge of UBS’ global capital markets group in Asia. Prior to UBS, he served at RBS as head of its equity capital markets division, also in Asia.
