Deutsche Boerse has filed formal two-step process documents to seal a $10.7 billion deal with NYSE Euronext. Deutsche Boerse’s shareholders will be able to tender their shares to Alpha Beta Netherlands Holding, the joint holding company of Deutsche Börse and NYSE Euronext, as per the exchange offer.
The tender period, which started on May 4, 2011, will end on July 13, 2011. Acceptance of the exchange offer will be performed through custodian banks. The move comes as NASDAQ and IntercontinentalExchange (ICE) edge closer to making a hostile offer, adds Reuters.
