Rent the Runway, the online site for dress, accessory and bridesmaid dress rentals, has raised $15 million in venture capital funding. The round was backed by the Silicon Valley financier, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers.
The online service company will use the proceeds to boost its selection of dresses and invest in its inventory and reservation system. Prior to the $15 million investment, Rent the Runway received over $16 million from Bain Capital Ventures and Highland Capital.
