France has raised a total of €2.99 billion in a five-year inflation-protected bonds sale, Bloomberg reports. The notes received bid 2.11 times more than the actual amount offered.
Agence France Tresor (AFT) issued the debt on behalf of the government. Earlier in April 2006, AFT issued inflation- linked debt worth €3.3 billion.
