Oil and Natural Gas Corp. (ONGC) is investing about $5.42 billion for the development of marginal oil and gas fields in India, Moneycontrol.com reports. The state-owned company has undertaken 10 major projects for development and one project for additional development.
These fields are scheduled to be on stream by 2013-14. ONGC will commission two petrochemicals projects in the next two years. One project in Gujarat will be commissioned in 2012 and another in 2013.
