Equity firms Vogo Fund and MBK Partners are considering bidding for Woori Finance Holdings’ stake sale, Reuters reports, citing Maeil Business Newspaper. Vogo may also partner with other funds for the bidding.
The South Korean government is looking to sell about a 35% stake in Woori. Earlier in 2010, Woori had planned to sell its 57% stake, which was cancelled due to lack of interest from investors.
