Mizuho Securities, subsidiary of the global Mizuho Financial Group, has expanded its convertible securities department group with the appointment of Thomas Fazio and John Thomas. The duo has been hired as directors of the team. Previously, Fazio has worked as senior convertibles trader at Cantor Fitzgerald, Merrill Lynch & Co. and Jefferies & Co. Most recently, Thomas worked at Citigroup as director in the convertible and equity sales department.
