Performance of U.S. credit card asset-backed securities was positive for the second month in a row in January, according to Fitch Ratings’ credit card ABS index. It noted credit card defaults in January fell to their lowest level in 23 months, while delinquencies were at a 27-month low. ABS ratings on both prime and retail credit cards trusts are expected to remain stable.
