Ireland’s National Asset Management Agency is raising the interest rate on loans to developers. NAMA, which has lent €592 million ($822.76 million) in working capital to the firms, offers the loans with floating rates tied to EURIBOR. The European inter-bank rate began rising last week after Jean-Claude Trichet, president of the European Central Bank, indicated that the ECB would start raising rates as early as next month.
