Cypress Semiconductor Corp.’s board has approved a plan to buy back $400 million of shares, The Wall Street Journal reports. The previous $600 million repurchase plan authorized in October has already been completed.

At the end of the second quarter, the chip company had about 170.3 million shares outstanding. It has repurchased some 18.3 million shares in the current quarter.
