NSN Seeks To Rework $1.2B Motorola Deal

Nokia Siemens Networks is looking to renegotiate its $1.2 billion acquisition of wireless network assets from Motorola Solutions.

Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) is looking to renegotiate its $1.2 billion acquisition of wireless network assets from Motorola Solutions, Bloomberg reports. The network-equipment company seeks to eliminate the Global System for Mobile communications (GSM) unit from the deal and renegotiate the price.

NSN requires antitrust approval from the Chinese government, which has extended its review period for another 60 days. The acquisition, which was initially announced in July when the two companies targeted a year-end close, received approval from U.S. and European Union regulators.
