MSCI has hired Peter Zangari as managing director and head of its equity portfolio management analytics business. He will be in charge of expanding growth and product innovation across a broad range of equity portfolio management products, including Barra risk and performance attribution models and Barra Portfolio Manager. He will also manage a global product management team.

Zangari will be based in New York and will work under Henry Fernandez, chairman and CEO of MSCI. Before joining MSCI, he was managing director and head of risk for the quantitative investment strategies business at Goldman Sachs Asset Management.
