Eurex Shifts To Equinix Data Centre

Derivatives exchange Eurex has moved its active matching engines into a single new data centre.

Derivatives exchange Eurex has moved its active matching engines into a single new data centre. The active Eurex trading and clearing infrastructure is now placed in the International Business Exchange (IBX) data centre of the international IT company and data centre services provider Equinix. Eurex and Equinix are already delivering co-location solution Proximity Services.

Eurex has modified and replaced all matching engines with the latest high-performance hardware. The throughput for all Eurex members will increase as a result. The relocation of the Eurex system will allow Deutsche Borse Group to provide its customers with co-location services for derivatives and cash markets from a single position. Clients also benefit from a large number of exchange-related service providers.
