Sberbank and Credit Suisse Group are planning to launch a $1 billion private-equity fund for investments in Russia, Bloomberg reports. The companies will contribute about $100 million each to the vehicle, which will not focus on any particular industries. Sberbank will be responsible for identifying investment opportunities, while Credit Suisse will focus on raising money and managing investment risks. The fund is expected to be unveiled by the end of 2011.
