London-based Rathbone Unit Trust Management (RUTM) is looking to roll out clean, low-cost share classes priced at 0.75 percent annual management charge (AMC) across its fund range in 2012, Investment Week reports. The group is planning to introduce institutional share classes not requiring trail commission and platform charges.
The new share classes will add to the existing retail divisions, with most funds priced at 0.75 percent AMC. Manager Bryn Jones’ lower-cost Ethical Bond fund, which has an AMC of 1.25 percent, will be charged at 0.625 percent. The group's Strategic Bond fund, which already has an institutional share class priced at 0.5 percent, will not be affected by the new proposals.
