Morgan Stanley has appointed 232 new managing directors, The Wall Street Journal reports. The newly appointed directors include Jared Abbey, Tevfik Aksoy, Rogger Alvarado, Jeanne Andreana and David Aronovitch.

The firm had appointed 212 new managing directors in December 2009, 133 in 2008 and 241 in 2007. Morgan Stanley had 62,542 employees as of Dec. 31, 2010, 3% more than 2009.
