EQT Raises €3.5B For Sixth Fund

Swedish private equity group EQT Partners has collected €3.5 billion in new funds within less than six months.

Swedish private equity group EQT Partners has collected €3.5 billion in new funds within less than six months, Financial Times reports. The group, part-owned by the Wallenberg family collected 83% of the €4.25 billion it is targeting for its sixth fund.

EQT received commitments from the Middle East and Asia as well as from U.S. pension funds that lacked exposure to northern Europe. EQT may finish its fundraising within the next two months, possibly increasing the size of the fund to €4.75 billion.
