JP Morgan Names RE Investment Unit Head

JP Morgan Asset Management has appointed John Fraser as managing director and head of its new U.S. opportunistic real estate investment division.

JP Morgan Asset Management has appointed John Fraser as managing director and head of its new U.S. opportunistic real estate investment division. The new division, Junius Real Estate Partners, will handle assets separately from JP Morgan’s existing real estate asset management business, and will be under Joe Azelby, head of JP Morgan Asset Management’s global real assets. The new business, based in New York, will focus on selective real estate investments that aim to exploit opportunities throughout the capital structure. Fraser has previously worked with Investcorp as co-head of real estate.
