Three Australian fund managers have secured $60 million in funding from the government to invest in Australian start-up ventures, Financial Standard reports. The government provided the funding through its Innovation Investment Fund (IIF). The government committed $20 million each to Carnegie Venture Capital, the Medical Research Commercialisation Fund and Southern Cross Venture Partners. As a part of the IIF program, the venture capital funds have received a 10 year license.
