China Southern Power Grid Co. is looking to raise $782 million through a sale of medium-term notes, The Wall Street Journal reports. The notes, which will be sold on the interbank market, will mature in 2016.
The company, which operates a power grid covering five provinces, will utilize the proceeds to pay back bank loans and boost its working capital. Industrial & Commercial Bank of China and China International Capital Corp. will act as main underwriters for the offering.
