The former chief of Wachovia’s European corporate and investment bank, Atul Bajpai, has set up a London-based investment management boutique, Financial News reports. Bajpai has partnered with KBC Alternative Investment Management’s ex-deputy CIO, Ajay Soni, to create CedarBridge Capital.
The fund, which will offer clients daily access to their assets rather than restricting access through lock-in or gating structures, will continue to manage the two founders assets using the same strategies it employs for clients assets. The fund will invest in assets with high liquidity, including equities, bonds, convertibles, ETFs, commodities and FX and will take short as well as long positions.
