Citigroup is seeking to boost its team in Europe with the appointment of about 20 senior corporate and investment bankers, Bloomberg reports. The U.S. bank will complete the hiring in the first-half of 2011 to rebuild a team affected by departures.

The lender will add managing directors and executive directors in London and bankers in Russia, Turkey and the Middle East. Currently, Citigroup has about 1,000 investment and corporate bankers in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
