AEW Europe has obtained an additional €176 million for its French core retail fund Fondis, PropertyEU reports. The capital raised from institutional investors will give the fund a further €320 million of buying power.
Through the new capital addition, the fund’s portfolio will be doubled from €360 million to about €700 million, when completely invested. The fund that currently consists of 50 properties leased to 135 tenants aims to focus on lot sizes of up to €70 million across the spectrum of French retail properties.
