Basic Energy Services will acquire privately-held Maverick Companies for $180 million, The Wall Street Journal reports. With the acquisition, the oilfield services company will expand its completion and remedial services business.
The transaction, which is likely to be completed next month, is subject to certain working capital adjustments, adds Reuters. Maverick is a group of oil-and-gas services firms that provide fracturing and well stimulation services.
