CME Group is launching weekly options contract that will allow trading platform users to buy and sell options on Treasury futures that expire on a weekly basis, The Wall Street Journal reports. The Treasury options currently expire only on a monthly basis. CME will offer weekly expirations on options for two, five, 10, classic and ultra Treasury bond futures. The exchange’s classic contracts cover bonds with maturities of between 15 and 25 years, while its ultra contracts covers bonds with maturities of 25 years and upwards.
