Northwestern Mutual Foundation has named John Kordsmeier as president. Kordsmeier will also head a new strategic philanthropy and community relations department to bolster the foundation’s efforts aimed at safeguarding future generations and building the local economy. The foundation is Wisconsin’s largest corporate giver.
Kordsmeier’s team will be responsible for formulating and executing giving and volunteerism strategies which have community impact and highlight the foundation’s commitment to its employees. He came to the foundation in 1980 as an underwriter and has been vice president, disability income, since 2009.
